NOW IN NETWORK WITH BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD AND CIGNA

A Surgical Resource for Complex, Nerve-Related Conditions

The Institute of New Jersey offers one of the state's leading nerve surgery programs, recognized internationally for its clinical innovation. We serve as a clinical extension to local care teams—evaluating patients whose symptoms may stem from nerve dysfunction, even when imaging or lab work appears inconclusive.

Our model is consult-based and specialty-driven:

  • We focus exclusively on advanced nerve care—not primary care or general pain management.
  • Diagnostic clarity and surgical intervention are our core strengths.
  • Many of our patients are referred by OB-GYNs, neurologists, spine surgeons, and PCPs seeking a next-step opinion.

“Sometimes the right intervention isn’t about waiting longer—it’s about knowing what options exist beyond the usual pathways.”

- Dr. Ahmed Nasser

Patients We Commonly Evaluate

Many of the patients we see have been told there are no answers. Others are simply unsure whether a nerve issue is behind their symptoms. We help clarify the path forward—especially when traditional treatments haven’t worked. We evaluate patients with:

  • Pelvic and sciatic nerve pain
  • Foot drop or leg weakness
  • Chronic headaches that may involve occipital nerves
  • Facial paralysis or asymmetry following Bell’s palsy, trauma, or tumor resection
  • Post-operative numbness, tingling, or discomfort
  • Breathing issues tied to phrenic nerve injury or diaphragm dysfunction
  • Complex lymphedema with surgical treatment potential
  • Suspected nerve compression syndromes across the body

Each consult is designed to identify treatable nerve conditions that may benefit from surgical decompression, transfer, or reconstruction—especially when non-surgical care has plateaued or diagnosis remains unclear.
